  1. Schedule an appointment
Call Cutarelli Vision at (303) 486-2020 or fill out the LASIK FREE CONSULTATION request to set a convenient time for your FREE LASIK screening exam.
  2. Establish your candidacy
TAKE our FREE LASIK CANDIDACY TEST
This is your initial free screening necessary to determine whether or not you are eligible for LASIK. It will last about 45 minutes to an hour and is not a sales pitch. Your screening procedure includes a refractive exam, corneal mapping, coverage of benefits and risks, and a one-on-one discussion with Dr. Cutarelli.
  3. Your pre-operative eye exam
During this visit, your comprehensive LASIK eye exam will be conducted to detect possible underlying medical concerns. This allows Dr. Cutarelli to develop a precise profile of your eye measurements and further validate your LASIK candidacy. The nominal charge for these high technology tests is deducted from the LASIK fee.
  4. Schedule your LASIK procedure
Dr. Cutarelli typically performs LASIK surgeries on Wednesday and Friday afternoons at our ambulatory. This appointment will be scheduled at the time of your comprehensive eye exam.
  5. Prepare for your procedure
LASIK eye surgery is an ambulatory procedure, which means that you walk into our surgery facility, have your procedure and then walk out again. Be sure to carefully follow all preparation instructions.
  6. Your LASIK procedure
Have your LASIK procedure and be home within hours. Although the actual LASIK procedure takes only minutes per eye, with the essential preparation and recovery time, plan on being here for a couple of hours.
  7. Return home for recovery
Once your procedure is complete you will need someone to drive you home to rest. Additional drops will be placed in your eyes and medication may be given to you to use over the next few days. A complete instruction packet will be provided for you. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully.
  8. Return for your post-op exams
After resting at home, you will arrive the next day for your follow-up appointment. Dr. Cutarelli will personally examine your eyes and answer any questions you may have. As your vision will be slightly changing over the next few months, Dr. Cutarelli will meet with you at specific intervals to examine your eyes and keep track of your progress. You may also schedule your follow-up exams with your eye care professional, if you prefer. We are happy to work with other practices. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for their fees.
  9. Enhancements
We experience an overwhelming success rate with our patients in only one refractive treatment. Sometimes, however, due to each individual's prescription level and unique physiology, an additional treatment or enhancement, may be required.
  10. Enjoy the benefits!
While LASIK does not guarantee perfect vision, it does hold the promise of substantially reducing your dependence on contacts or glasses, and the freedom of pursuing whatever life brings your way.
